Volunteering at post 1 foundation

As an all-volunteer organization, the Post 1 Foundation is successful only because of our incredible team members, who contribute their time, expertise and passion to support the mission of the Foundation. 

We recognize the unique professional skills that you offer and value your volunteer time commitment to the programs and efforts for both the Post 1 Foundation and to the Veterans that we serve. 

As such, we respect and honor a mutual understanding between the Foundation and our volunteer team members of the Foundation. The contribution of volunteers are what allows the Post 1 Foundation the ability to provide meaningful, value-based programs and support to Veterans and their families.

The Post 1 Foundation commits to:

  • Treat every volunteer with respect and foster a culture of inclusiveness
  • Conduct business and operations in a professional manner
  • Will not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations.
  • Provide the platform and opportunity to contribute your skills, efforts and time to opportunities that will facilitate Veterans and their family members the transition of military to civilian life, improve their success in our community.
  • Opportunities could be within the Post 1 Foundation program offerings and/or for supporting partner(s).

Volunteer commits to:

  • Respect fellow volunteers
  • Commit good faith efforts, time and will not overcommit or under deliver.
  • Will not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations.
  • If volunteer time commitments change, you will communicate such to the Foundation. This will allow the Foundation to plan accordingly and ensure operations continue with success. You can resume additional responsibilities as your schedule permits at a later time. Life happens, and we understand that.
  • Represent Post 1 Foundation with professionalism.
